G. Larry Colson Jr.
Founder / CEO

Larry Colson is the founder and CEO of Sailfish Software, where he leads the company’s vision and product strategy, building modern, AI-driven enterprise software solutions for the automotive industry.
Previously, Larry served as Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of Auto/Mate Dealership Systems, where he was responsible for the overall strategic and technical direction of the company, with a primary focus on its software platform. Larry joined Auto/Mate in 2005 after spearheading the acquisition of the company from its prior ownership group. Under his leadership, Auto/Mate grew into a leading provider of dealership management systems, culminating in a successful exit in 2020 when the company was sold to DealerSocket.
Prior to Auto/Mate, Larry was Director of Desktop Development at Moore Data Management Services, which had acquired On-Line Software, a provider of software solutions for real estate agents and brokers. At On-Line Software, Larry was a partner and Vice President of Product Development, where he played a key role in product strategy and execution.
Larry began his career at Applied Systems, a provider of software to the insurance industry. Starting out working from the founder’s garage, Larry established the technology foundation that helped Applied Systems grow into the industry’s leading insurance software provider, eventually employing more than 1,500 people.
Larry is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering. He currently resides in Florida with his wife.
Steve Zadoorian

Steve Zadoorian is a seasoned technology and operations executive with more than three decades of experience in the automotive retail, SaaS, and enterprise software industries.
Steve spent over 25 years at Auto/Mate Dealership Systems. He served as Chief Information Officer for 17 years, leading the company’s technology strategy, platform architecture, infrastructure, security, and product development initiatives. In addition, he held the role of Chief Customer Officer for 8 years, where he was responsible for customer experience, support operations, implementations, training, and long-term customer success.
Following the acquisition of Auto/Mate by DealerSocket, Steve became Senior Vice President at DealerSocket, where he helped guide the integration of the Auto/Mate platform, teams, and customers into a larger enterprise SaaS organization. In this role, he focused on operational scalability, product alignment, and customer retention during a period of significant organizational change.
In addition to his commercial roles, Steve is deeply involved in industry standards and collaboration. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR), where he works with OEMs, dealers, and technology providers to modernize data standards, APIs, and domain models that improve interoperability across the automotive ecosystem.
At Sailfish Software, Steve applies his deep operational insight and technical background to the development of practical, dealership-focused solutions. His passion lies in building tools that improve data quality, streamline workflows, and help automotive professionals work more efficiently- particularly in service and repair operations.
